| A Battery Life for you smartphone is An Important thing! |
I am trying to think that why the batter life is so short for smartphones, and usually companies are getting bigger battery, but usable battery time for full is shorter or same as previous one. For one example, iPhone 3G had a great battery life and it can use all day long without recharging battery. But when iPhone 4 came out that time if you use a day maybe max is 5-6 hours, and need to recharge for one to two hours to get full then you could use it. iPhone 5 is much faster battery goes down than iPhone 4, but still it has bigger battery than iPhone 4. If will use more battery than previous ones, but still battery life is the most important aspect for smartphone.

今回は電池の容量や消費がなぜスマホで長持ちしないのかということについて話していこうかと思います。これはスマホを作っている会社にとってはとても重要な課題のひとつだといってもいいと思います。スマホは新しいものがでてきても前のものに比べて使用時間が少なかったりもしくは同じだったりなどします。でも、常に電池容量自体は大きくなってきているのです。たとえば、iPhone 3Gの電池はスマホの中でも一番持ちが良く一日中使っていたとしても充電を必要としないことが多かったと思います。そしてiPhone 4になると電池のもちがだいたい5~6時間ほどだった様に思えます。そして1~2時間ほど充電してまたフルから使えていた気がします。そしてiPhone 5になったらまた同じか少し時間が短くなったように思えます。でも、毎回電池容量は大きくなってきてます。でも、使う機能なども増えてきているのは事実で電池が増えた分機能も増えているわけです。ここからもわかるように電池の持ちというのはスマホを使う上でかなり重要なポイントになるのです。

Well, not only Apple product phone battery was bigger. HTC made ones are same way of battery, and Samsung is same. Galaxy S3 had 2,100 mAh battery and it was a huge one. But it could use not all day long without portable charger or charger with you. Then you can use heavy time, maybe last long was around 4-5 hours or less. Then Galaxy S4, that one had 2600 mAh Li-ion and supported to be able to use more hours that Galaxy S3, but still.... it last long 4-5 hours. So which mean bigger battery is not matter that if you have bigger screen and some more function for using smartphone.

まぁ、アップル社だけに限ったことではないです。他のスマホを作っているHTCやサムソンなども同様に新しい機種には大きな電池容量を備え付けていますが、電池の持ちはというと前と同じか悪くなってしまっているかといった感じですね。Galaxy S3の電池容量は2100mAhで結構その当時では大きなものでしたが、4~5時間くらいで電池がなくなってしまうなどということもたびたびありました。そして、Galaxy S4の電池容量は2600 mAh となっていましたが、こちらも前の機種同様に4~5時間ほどでした。ちなみに常に使っている状態だとということです。使ったり使ってなかったりだとしてもほぼ同じ7~8時間くらいですね。前の機種に比べて画面が少し大きくなったのも電池の消費が増えたと考えられます。

When you had cellphone back in 2005 or older year, maybe battery was around 650~800 mAh, and you can use it with more than 8 hours a day if you use all the time. So this means is that smartphone battery has more power but smartphone use more power to operate itself? Yes it is. Smartphone screen is using highest battery, but smartphone use background apps and maintenance, this will make it to use more battery power than cellphones. Well, this will make sense to you? I hope so. So this battery matter is an important thing that smartphone users. Also, why battery time is shorter now than before that is smartphones are just not only phone. Just think that you have a computer with calling system in it. You may understand that you need to bring sometime for recharger code or portable battery with you.

| 電池容量の重要さ |
２００５年より前の携帯であった頃、今のスマートフォンが支流となる前です。その頃は一晩充電すれば１日外に出ていて帰ってきてもだま使えてといった感じの電池容量だったと思います。という事は、スマホは充電されている電池容量を大量に消費するということが良くわかりと思います。大きくなった分電池がいるというのもわかります。でも、画面が大きいだけでは電池消費が早くなるというわけではないんです。電池が早く消費するのはスクリーン以外にアプリがバックグラウンドで動いているとか常に電波を拾っていろいろな情報をアップデートしようとしているなどがあります。言うならば、常に携帯するパソコンという小型の機械に電話を付属したようなものなのです。これを理解すると電池消費量がとても早くなるのは良くわかることです。だからといってスマホが悪いということは全くありません。むしろ便利なのでどしどし使っていった方がいいかと思われます。ただ充電式の電池を余分に持ち運ぶなどをしていれば外出している時に使えなくなるなどはいっさいないと思います。
